It also opens employmentopportunities and innovation. In the current society, it is hard toengage in the social activities without education. A majority ofemployers require staff with college qualifications. In fact, the jobmarket is flooded with individuals who have attended an institutionof higher learning (Bennett and Wilezol 13).
Folkswith lower academic credentials find it hard to find meaningfulemployment. In contrast, college graduates have a better competitiveadvantage than people with lower academic qualifications do as mostorganizations peg wages based on the one’s literacy level. It is,therefore, hard to ignore the economic value of college education inthe contemporary setting (Bennett and Wilezol 13).
Collegeexperience enhances employees’ ability to analyze and predictchallenges that can hinder a given organization from achieving itsgoals. The analysts are in a position to forewarn the management onpossible obstacles that can hinder the achievement of theorganization’s objectives. Besides, the activities conducted inclass shapes the student’s ability to create harmony among fellowemployees (Bennett and Wilezol 13).
Tertiaryeducation has also become a mandatory requirement for seniorofficials in the public sector. The credentials provided by advancededucation increases not only the confidence of the staff, but alsotheir level of thinking. Civil servants with college skills arelikely to make better and informed decisions compared to high schoolleavers (Bennett and Wilezol 13).
Studiesindicate that students with post-secondary schooling are likely toexperience a better lifestyle. With better payment and prestige, suchindividuals can easily meet their basic needs. Consequently, theyhave resources for recreation due to the high standard of livingafforded by attractive remuneration perquisites.
Anothersignificant benefit is that students gain exposure throughinteracting with people from diverse settings. Such exposure isinstrumental in enhancing co-existence and learning. A majority ofstudents seek to improve their lifestyle and standard of living. Oneway to accomplish such desires is through exposure to assortedopportunities represented by students in college levels (Bennett andWilezol 29).
Thecontemporary learning provides opportunities for the learners to usetheir talents to attain success in diverse fields in life. Usingappropriate strategies brought about by the current global dynamics,colleges develop graduands with high-level skills and expertise intheir specialization fields. Formal learning in colleges allows alearner to acquire fresh knowledge. Similarly, culturally relevanterudition empowers students socially, emotionally, andintellectually. The approach helps in building the learners’interests, as well as, cultural competence that is necessary tohandle the challenges and opportunities faced in life after school.Social changes require significant adjustment by people andorganizations so that they can respond to growing socio-economicchanges. Practical-minded pedagogy forms the foundation, as well as,provides the basis for a productive, valuable, and functionalrelationship between the formal and informal education (Selingo 9).
Efficientlearning emphasizes the need to reduce the gap existing in therealization of positive educational outcomes for students withdifferent understanding capacities. Understanding of concepts focuses on theprocess used in the realization of learning outcomes as opposed tothe content. Nonetheless,the college education is unreasonably long and limiting. Studentsattend schools to learn how to live harmoniously in a given society.Consequently, they acquire guided knowledge that improves theircapacity to serve the community positively. Furthermore, educationexposes students to real-life responsibilities and challenges. Theexperience broadens their worldview and critical thinking capacities,which enables them to approach issues in different perspectives. Thecollege educators provide students with varied challenges to testtheir understanding, assumptions, and knowledge. As the studentsattempt to seek alternatives to the theoretical challenges describedin a classroom, they gain knowledge to address real-life challengesfrom multiple viewpoints required to solve daily life challengesperfectly (Barone and Ortiz 331).
Inconclusion, creating a learning society requires an activestewardship amongst all the stakeholders. The government, parents,and educational administrators need to support college education.College education facilitates the acquisition of solutions that helpin solving the challenges in the modern society. Every communityshould identify approaches that will ensure that college education isattainable for everyone looking to expand his or her knowledge. Assuch, the cost of education should be re-examined, besides increasingresources to the institutions, to make it affordable. Collegegraduates acquire skills and improved knowledge that enhanceinnovations and competitiveness. Everyone should seek to strengthenhis or her intelligence irrespective of age and economic status. Itis through education humans develop solutions to the myriadchallenges facing the world today.
