Asking interrogative questions essay

It usually takes more than just asking interrogative questions whenever one is in the process of interrogating suspects of a crime scene. It involves taking great care during the entire interrogation process as it necessitates some factors which are quite significant. It is important that interrogators question their suspects in a very conducive atmosphere. The means for enough privacy should be allowed whenever there is a question and answer process going on. Vessel, (1998) believes that the room where one would interrogate a person should be a small and sound-insulated room.

This is primarily done for the purpose of minimizing enough distractions that could disrupt the concentration of the one being interrogated or the line of thought of the one who is asking the questions. This is basically what was lacking from the interrogations that were conducted by the police force. The interrogation was surprisingly done even in the exact same crime scene. The decision would be scoffed at because it immediately compromises the integrity of the testimonies of the suspects if what happened in the movie happened in real life.

It was said by Vessel (1998) that an interrogation should never take place when there is no assurance of privacy as well as control of the environment. This is exactly what happened with the investigation in the movie, Hoodwinked. Another thing that went wrong in the investigation of the movie Hoodwinked is that the crime scene wherein Red, the little girl who was delivering the goodies, was allegedly attacked by the wolf who, in his version of the story, was only there to expose her as someone evil.

You will notice that the crime scene was the very same house wherein they chose to interrogate all of the witnesses and alleged victims and perpetrators. They were all trying to get the identity of the one who was stealing the recipes but they were unable to deduce the identity of the rabbit because they did not isolate the crime scene. It is very important that one would be able to preserve the crime scene as much as possible by taking out any person that might pose as a distraction or a potential obstacle towards the discovery of more evidence.

The police force could have opted for different tests on the crime scene such as trace analysis or maybe fiber collection. It would probably be discovered that after the villain might have had contact with some of the suspects and some traces of hair or fiber might have been retrievable if they had preserved the crime scene immediately and did a primary fiber search. It is very important that the crime scene technicians are the only ones allowed within the room and not someone else or else a roomful of officers might have a hand in hampering the collection of necessary evidence. (Garrison, 1994)

The articles that were chosen delved into the discussion of the matter of interrogation. It is the opinion of the author that the different means by which the suspects were interrogated were not optimal as compared to the way an interrogation should proceed. The police force were unable to secure a quiet and conducive place where one can safely and smartly question the different suspects. Bearing this in mind, the interrogators might be guilty of inappropriate action, basing it on the standards that Special Agent David Vessel described in his article (Vessel, 1998) There are a lot of lapses in the way that the interrogation proceeded.

Another thing that might be highlighted in the film is that the police officers were quite incompetent as they needed the savvy and very able Nicky Flippers who is played by David Ogden Stiers. (Lovegren, 2005) It was the very confident detective who was able to walk through the different witnesses and their stories and it was he who gave the restraining order to not book the wolf as the perpetrator. After the wolf was able to give his side of the story, it seemed very plausible as it matched the one which was given by Red.

If the bear had his way, they would be eliminating a very important part of the story which would eventually land an innocent wolf in jail. This particular gentleman, no matter how effective he was in deducing the identity of the evil rabbit, only highlighted how inept the other police officers were at their job. Nevertheless, overlooking the faults of the police force, the involvement of Nicky Flippers with the investigation was able to give the whole police force and the rest of the suspects room to breathe as they were able to find out who really was stealing the recipes and all of the goodies from the whole forest.

He was one of the key elements that eventually put everything together. If it was not for his version of investigation, it wouldn’t be a very successful interrogation and the more important yet subtle clues such as who was with Red when she fell off the cable car, would not be discovered or noticed. (Lovegren, 2005) This part was also complemented by the type of investigation that the wolf and his sidekick conducted. Their type of investigation was more of a hands-on type of investigation which involved literally following Red and listening to the different dialogues that she participated in.

This was one of the key elements of the investigation because even though the wolf lacked pictures of the evil rabbit who actually accompanied Red, it was enough that his story was verified by the savvy Nicky Flippers. It was this particular investigation that, even though overlapped with Flipper’s interrogative investigation, eventually cemented the one fact that it was not the wolf who was stealing the different recipes. His testimony was also helped out when Granny explained how she was tied up when she was in the closet.

(Lovegren, 2005) The bottom line is even though the means of investigation were different, the fact remains that because of the type of sleuthing activity that the wolf and Twitchy conducted, they were able to rationalize their way out of being convicted as prime suspects in the nabbing of Granny. Compared to the interrogative style of investigation that Nicky Flippers conducted, the hands-on approach by the wolf was definitely much more detailed.

Even though their methods for investigating were different, both types eventually led to the discovery of the identity of the one who was stealing the goodies from all of the forest. Whatever type of investigation was implemented, it ended up in the discovery of the rabbit as the mastermind. The combination of the two investigations led to a positive result and eventually ended the evil plans of the evil rabbit and his henchmen.
