I agree with Myrna on the fact thatadhesive capsulitis limit the capacity of patients to remain asproductive as usual in their daily activities as a result of the painand the stiffness of the should that is brought about by the medicalcondition (Scibek & Carcia, 2012). The level of pain increasewhen the patients try to move or lift the arm, which force them tostop working for a moment so that pain can subside. The time theyspend without working contribute towards a decline in the overallperformance of the affected person.
Iagree with Myrna that the main skills that are affected by adhesivecapsulitis include the mobility and the ability to lift objects. Inaddition, the medical condition reduces individual’s capacity tocarryout tasks that require lifting of hands, such as painting aceiling. More than half of all activities that an individualundertakes on a daily basis involve the use of hands in one way oranother. This implies that adhesive capsulitis, which incapacitatesthe hand reduces the patient’s ability to take part in activitiesof daily living as well as other meaningful work (Scibek &Carcia, 2012). As Myrna puts it, adhesive capsulitis affect thepatient’s social life by limiting their ability to participate indifferent games with their friends. Therefore, adhesive capsulitis isa serious medical condition that reduces the performance of theaffected person in both the social and professional endeavors.
