Thereare many aspects of job satisfaction that have an impact on therelationship between employees and employers. This makes it one ofthe most important aspects of organization behavior. has a significant influence on the ability of the organization toattract and retain talented and experienced employees. Unsatisfiedemployees are more likely to leave the employer in search for abetter employer (Robertson, 2012, Thompson & Phua, 2012).According to Fisher (2016) both small and large business owners agreethat employee turnover is very costly to a business organization. Itcosts up to 400 percent of the annual salary to replace a senioremployee in an organization. Although it is not possible to deal withall issues related to job satisfaction and eliminate employees’turnover, there are several ways through which an employer canimprove employee satisfaction (Fisher, 2016).
Anemployer can improve employee satisfaction by creating incentivizedgoals where employees are rewarded for attaining set goals. Theseincentives motivate the employees to work hard and make them happy.Keeping the employees in the loop through effective where they arenot be last to know about new developments in the organization canalso impact positively on job satisfaction (Fisher, 2016). Animportant factor that has a direct impact on employee satisfaction isthe level of income. Employees are likely to leave an organization insuch for better salaries. Regular and sufficient reviews of employeecompensation can improve job satisfaction in workplaces. Otheremployer activities that can promote employee satisfaction includescheduled fun activities, occasional free lunch, recognizing personalevents such as birthdays and having a creative and aestheticallyappealing workplace (Fisher, 2016).
